Hello my name is Aly, and I'm a non-recovering "foodie." It's true. I love food. I dream of food. I love to make food. I love to eat food. I'm one of "those" people that sits in bed at night and actually reads cookbooks.
I haven't always been that way. In my single years I used to eat pasta, peas and cheese. Oh and throw in a fried egg, why don't ya? That's it.
But now that I'm a full-time, absolutely, wonderfully, doting wife and mother (at least, I tell myself that), I think about food...a lot. My husband and son are both HUGE eaters. And nothing makes me happier than a dinner table full of my smiling, eating, satisfied family.
Sometimes I'm so in love with what I just made I take a picture. I've been doing it for a couple years now. I knew I had a "foodie problem" when I had guests coming over. I cleaned our living room, set the mood lighting and inserted my SD card into the digital frame to show off our latest family happenings. As I sat and visited, I happened to glance up at the frame. Instead of smiling pictures of me and my family, I kept seeing pictures of BBQ chicken, peanut butter cookies, and french toast. Was it was apparent to everyone else that I had a food obsession?

I decided to name my food obsession "Some Kind of Delicious" because when I was growing up (the youngest of nine kids, in a combined family! -that's a completely different story for another day!), whenever I'd ask my mom "What's for dinner?" She'd automatically reply, "Something delicious!" And it always was.
So here's my "Some Kind of Delicious." A collection of my favorite eats and treats as I go along. I hope you enjoy.
bon appetit.
